Craft Fairs!

So I've signed up for three different craft fairs in November and in the beginning of December.  I'm excited to experience it from the seller's' Point of View!  My niece, sister, daughter and I are making it a team effort; we'll have my hats of course, plus jewelry, hair adornments, and some DEEEELICIOUS caramel corn concoctions made by my daughter.

I haven't been able to get any pictures of my latest hats, but I've got some SERIOUSLY cute ones in the works!  Including a special one for my nephew, based on the game app "Cut The Rope".

The Debate, and 3 New Hats!

Soooo... am I the ONLY person in the whole wide world who decided to SKIP watching the 2nd presidential debate tonight?  I was SO not interested in the arguing and chipping away at each other.  Now it's just a matter of hitting my mental "mute" button every time someone starts talking about politics around/to me.  :)

I made (most of) THREE hats in the past couple of days!  trying to ramp up a bit on the production pre-craft fair.  I haven't done all of my "weaving in ends" and some accoutrements are missing; but for the most part, this is what I've gotten done:

First, for the men, "Blues".  I love this hat!!  The yarn is sooo rich and purely colored, and soft.  And the pattern was wonderful; I found it on the blog site Knotty Living, and I just had to make some minor mental stitch-count adjustments.  The photo is a little dark, but that's just so that you can see the beautiful stitch-work:

The next one is "Blushing Stripes" Earflap hat for baby girls.  Loved the colors!  <3  The pattern came from here: Easy Makes Me Happy! with some obvious modifications, lol:

And the last one is silly  :)  Fits my 5-year-old nephew and he recognized it right away.  It's a basic beanie pattern, I didn't use a specific one, and I added eyes and mouth based on what I could find on Google images.  Do you know who it is??  :)

I'm currently working on finishing up a snowman hat that is going to be SOOOO CUUUUTE!!!  I just have to add the face and weave ends, and it'll be done.  I'll post that as soon as I can!

Thanks for peeking  :)

First Etsy Sale! And 2nd, and 3rd!! O.O

Oh goodness!  In the past few days I've sold two of my monster hats; the original green and orange, as well as a special order of navy with orange & green, which came out REALLY cool looking!  Here's a photo of that one:

Hoping that the sales will continue; this will be a huge help when Christmas shopping!  :)

Homemade Vanilla

Hi there!

So I just started a NEW project, making homemade vanilla!  This one will hopefully help increase my patience levels, LOL, since the vanilla takes at least a month before it'll be done, if not two.  I started them on Thursday, September 27th.  I'll check them again around Halloween, and see how they're doing.  Hoping to have something for a Christmas gift idea by the time THAT rolls around.

Here is a picture of the start of my project:

So, basically all it is, is vodka that has vanilla beans split and dropped into it.  I just have to shake the jars once in a while, and I'm told it comes out amazingly!  We'll see...  :)

First sale! =D

I got a special order for one of the monster hats in a different color combo (blue & green) on Etsy!  I've finished the hat, just need to charge my camera battery to take pictures and get it sent to her.  My very first hat that I'm selling, instead of giving away.  Yaayyyy!!  Hopefully more to come  :)

I'll post a picture when I get them taken.

OMG, not a hat! :D

Heeyyyy, so last night I finally decided to make something BESIDES a hat!  I crocheted a pair of fingerless gloves with some acrylic & wool yarn that my daughter fell in love with.  I really like how they came out; I imagine that there'll be several more pairs incoming, heh.

Here's a picture of both of them:

And here's a closeup of one of them; they were mostly done in half-double crochet:
